COVID 19 Cathedral Information

Stage 2 of the RoadMap - Services recommence.

From Sunday 24 May the 7.30am service will be re-introduced, a popular option for many who prefer a quieter reflective style of service. Following this the 9.00am service will take place.

We will be asked to sanitise our hands with Aquium on arrival. In order to maintain social distancing we will use only every second row of pews. Members of the same household may sit together but otherwise we must sit 1.5 metres apart. No handshaking nor embracing is to be done. The communion wine will be distributed in individual cups as was done before we had to close. There will be no morning tea; nor will sandwiches be served between 8.00 and 8.30. It will be lovely to see one another once more. But please stay home if you don’t feel well.

During Stage 1 of the COVID response the Ministry Team developed some expertise with online services, and these can still be accessed through the YouTube Channel. The Sunday morning "Feeding of the 5,000" has unfortunately been suspended due to the restrictions. Jenny Martin is keeping in touch with the Sunday School children through  "slow mail" technology providing lessons and craft activities.
