Easter Reflection

From The Reverend Pat Williams We journeyed together through Holy Week from experiencing a special sense of Christ's community as we joined with the people of St Mary's Cathedral and the Darwin Uniting Memorial Church on Palm Sunday.
On Good Friday there were glimpses of transcendence in the silence of shared liturgy, and tears as the injustice and horror of the crucifixion were truly realised when we sang "Why what has my Lord done? What makes this rage and spite? He made the lame to run, he gave the blind their sight."
Such moments help us to grow in our faith and as channels of God's love. And now this Easter Day we celebrate that the light of love has overcome the darkness of hatred and evil. Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. Alleluia!
